About Me

María Antonieta Guillaumet is a Vienna-based contemporary watercolor artist and oral surgeon whose work explores identity as a layered, evolving process.

Originally trained in science and precision, she later found in watercolor a space where intuition, transparency and emotional depth could coexist — revealing the multiplicity of her own identities as woman, migrant, mother, doctor and artist.

Her work unfolds slowly, in delicate layers that hold contradictions rather than resolve them.

Her upcoming series, Shapes of Earth (2026), deepens this exploration through a more elemental visual language
